MAGIC!! Why Atheistic Evolution is Impossible, 1) Something from Nothing, a TOTAL Scientific Barrier.

There are two opposite views to explain how we got here: Evolution, everything appeared very slowly during billions of years OR Creation, God made everything in six days about 6,000 years ago. Which one is true? Both frameworks face the same obstacles. There are three steps in both processes that require miraculous action because they violate known and proven scientific LAWS. Remember, Laws of science have NO exceptions. If they do, they can’t be a law, only a theory or a hypothesis. For Creation, this breaking of scientific laws requires no explanation because Creation is supernatural. God has the power to break laws, and they remain laws. WE call these events miracles and Jesus did many, walking on water, the Canna wine, raising Lazarus, calming the storm, healing many, etc.

My new book Without 3 Miracles Darwin’s Dead! Sub titled “Science Proves Atheistic Evolution is IMPOSSIBLE” can change many minds about the Evolution’s viability because Evolutionary development flagrantly violates three scientific laws, the 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics and Biogenesis.   To break a scientific law, you need a miracle, and Atheistic Evolution cannot allow any because they must reject the supernatural.  I call these three miracles: Magic, Frankenstein, and Uphill Molasses.  This week we’ll deal with “Magic,” the appearance of something from nothing, a violation of the 1st Law.

Evolution is NOT science but a model to think about the past, so the next question we ask is: “how reliable is the Evolutionary framework?” Since the Universe cannot be eternal, the Big Bang begins with material that suddenly appears from nothing and then explodes. This first step is impossible because it violates the 1st law of thermodynamics. Most evolutionists start their Big Bang models several microseconds AFTER the matter has appeared and do not address the problem of its original appearance. This appearance defies the first law, which says, pardon the paraphrase: “You can’t get something from nothing.”

The1st Law of Thermodynamics is also called the law of the conservation of energy. It states that the total energy/matter in an isolated system is constant. It can be transformed from one form to another, but cannot be created or destroyed.

The Universe is considered an isolated system! Therefore, the total matter/ energy in the Universe is constant and CANNOT change.  NO matter or energy can appear or disappear.  Evolutionists that address this problem of the matter arising from nothing say either; 1) “the laws of physics do not apply until matter appears” or 2) “this remains a great mystery.” In both of these cases these “excuses” they call explanations reveal the faith nature of Evolution. Since the appearance of everything from nothing violates a scientific law, it MUST be accepted BY FAITH. It is NOT scientific! In your witnessing, point out to the Atheistic Evolutionist that they deny faith because “there is no God!” yet believe in the miracle of the sudden appearance of matter in violation of this scientific law. Here we see the contradictory nature of the Atheistic worldview. Faith in something from NOTHING but NO faith is allowed in anything else?? Think about that statement, and you’ll see it’s absurd!

Atheists, Agnostics & Materialists have FAITH because they believe History.

You’ve heard Your Atheist, Humanist or Materialist relative or friend say: “I only believe in what I can see. Faith is for fools! The only reality is the material world. There is no supernatural! Everything is relative! There are no absolutes!”

Our world is full of people that deny the supernatural. They make explicit statements about the world and act as if they were questions because they are looking for a response from us. These statements are easy to answer and often provide an opportunity to present the gospel. Materialist declarations challenge Christians to spar verbally. Don’t shy away from them; they will give you a chance to share the Gospel.

In the United States today there are many people, even in churches, who believe these materialistic imperatives from Atheism, Agnosticism, Humanism, Materialism, and Marginal Christianity.   All of these worldviews are described in “Worldviews and Religions” from the book Always Be Ready to Give an Answer!

Last week we explored immaterial opposites like hot-cold, wind, and light-darkness to demonstrate that people who claim they only believe in the material world believe in many things that can’t be sensed. Today we’ll look at the second of these non-material arguments, the Historical Narrative dialogue. Our whole understanding of history is based on others writings and experiences and not on our knowledge. WE believe in history by faith in the ones who communicated it to us.

Historical Narratives

I: “I only believe in what I can see. My five senses tell me all I need to and can know. There is no supernatural; only the material world exists. Faith in something you can’t see is foolish.”

Me: “Do you believe George Washington was a real person? Did you ever see him? You only have the testimony of books written by other men.”

I: “Of course.”

Me: “Do you believe there was a Roman Empire? Do you believe two world wars occurred in the twentieth century?” (You can use as many examples as you can think of, just don’t use any events that happened during the person’s lifetime.)

I: “These things are historical events I know happened.”

Me: “You only know about past events that you didn’t witness through the testimony of others. So, you trust in something you did not see. Do you concede you believe history through the testimony of others?

I: (Affirms.)

Me: Then let me tell you some history. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are the most documented events of all time. If the stories about Jesus were not true, we would know because men and women don’t sacrifice their lives for a lie. Besides the testimony of history, we have two-thousand-plus years of history to affirm Jesus’ saving power.” (Give a short testimony.) “What about you? Do you believe Jesus lived, died, and rose from the dead to bring you salvation?”

The Origin of Language Stumps Evolution. Author Tom Wolfe in “The Kingdom of Speech.”

Many of my BLOGs have dealt with the impossibility of Evolution and the credibility of Biblical Creation (In six days, 6,000 years ago) in the area of science, but answering the question of where we came from is more than a just a scientific one. It encompasses all the nature of humankind because we’re made in God’s image. This week I’m deviating from my normal blog to review a book. In The Kingdom of Speech, author Tom Wolfe makes a compelling case against Evolution based on the origin of human language.   In the early pages, Wolfe makes the point that ALL attempts to explain how language could evolve have failed. In a 2016 article, eight of the world’s most prominent Evolutionists conceded total defeat. In his, closing Wolfe states “To say that animals evolved into man is like saying that Carrara marble evolved into Michelangelo’s David.”

Back cover: “Language in all its forms advanced man far beyond the boundaries of natural selection, allowing him to think abstractly and plan ahead (no animal was capable of it); measure things and record measurements for later (no animal was capable of it); comprehend space and time, God, freedom, and immortality; and remove items from Nature to create artifacts, whether axes or algebra. No animal could even begin to do any such thing. Darwin’s doctrine of natural selection couldn’t deal with artifacts, which were by definition unnatural, or with the mother of all artifacts, which was the Word. The inexplicable power of the Word—speech, language—was driving him crazy.” —from The Kingdom of Speech

Background: First there was the word. Or was there? Before Tom Wolfe was a bestselling novelist, he was a groundbreaking journalist. Now the maestro storyteller turns his attention to the mystery behind the creation of his own most important tool: language. In The Kingdom of Speech, Wolfe makes the captivating, paradigm-shifting argument that speech — not evolution—is responsible for humanity’s complex societies and achievements. From Alfred Russell Wallace, the self-taught Englishman who beat Charles Darwin to the theory of natural selection but later renounced it for its inability to explain human speech, to the Neo-Darwinists, who for years argued that there is a language “organ” in the human brain, Wolfe examines how science has repeatedly tried and failed to account for man’s gift of gab. Flash forward to the present day and the controversial work of another outsider, anthropologist Daniel Everett. After thirty years of studying a tribe isolated deep in the jungles of the Amazon, Everett revealed a people whose prehistoric level of speech had led to a society without religion, ceremonies, hierarchies, marriage, or ornaments, and without the ability to plan ahead or to consider a past beyond personal lifetimes, thus defying the current wisdom that language is hardwired in humans. With trenchant wit and uproarious humor, Wolfe cracks open the secretive, solemn, long-faced, laugh-out-loud zigzags of Darwinism, both old and neo-, and he shows the endless importance of the courageous outsider in overturning our most cherished ideas about ourselves. Provocative and fast-paced, Wolfe’s latest tour de force will have everyone talking.

I highly recommend ALL who have an interest in the question of origins read this book. Evolution is FALSIFIED by human language.

US Public Education’s Foundations, Christianity vs. Humanism

In a recent blog, I dealt with the two foundations of US Public Education, Christian Values, and Humanism. A comment posted by a reader asked: “What’s wrong with Humanism?” What’s wrong, Humanism’s tenets and foundations conflict with my Christian world in every area: History, Science, Literature and even Language, which I’ll deal with next week. As a Christian I want my children’s education to reflect my values, which begins with a foundation of a worldview and a set of presuppositions about the world where we live. Until in the early part of the 20th century, the US public education’s foundation was the Bible and Christian principles. It began to change in the middle of the 20th century, based on the influence of John Dewey and others. By the end of the 1980s US, education was based entirely on the principles of Humanism. Christianity was purged from the schools under the guise of “separation of church and state.” These two worldviews are at opposite positions on every aspect of our lives, only one can be education’s foundation. They are truly mutually exclusive. Education’s foundation must be based on either one of these value sets, but since it can be ONLY one, the other must be entirely excluded.

Here is a summary, created by this author, of their differences.

CATEGORY HUMANISM CHRISTIANITY
Universe Origin Order from Nothing + Chaos Created by God in 6 Days
Human Origin Chemical / Biological Accident Made in God’s Image
Origin of Life Dead Chemicals / Abiogenesis Created Kinds by God
Meaning of Life Human Experience In God, Who is life
Historical Flow Unpredictable, Random Events God’s Purpose / His Story
Improved World Reason / Intelligence Christian Conversion & Life
Happiness is? Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs New Creation / Alive in Christ
Fulfillment is? On Earth Only / Death Ends ALL Heaven / Eternal Life with Him
Moral Basis Relativism / Do What YOU Want? God’s Word as Guide
Salvation None or By Some Human Effort God’s Grace Alone by Faith
Lifestyle Pleasure, Hedonism, Live for Today! In Christ, Be a Living Sacrifice

One more challenge: “In the history of the Christian church, many rulers, philosophers, kings, etc. have tried to destroy Christianity. They have even, at times, declared it dead. Why, after many centuries, haven’t they succeeded?”

In 1776, Voltaire, the French philosopher, announced, “One hundred years from my day there will not be a Bible in the earth except that is looked upon by some antique seeker.” One hundred years later, Voltaire was dead, and the Geneva Bible Society was using his house and press to print and store Bibles. One hundred years from the day of Voltaire’s prediction, the first edition of his works sold for eleven cents in Paris, but the British government paid the Czar of Russia half a million dollars for an ancient Bible manuscript. —Source: http://gewatkins.net/my-words-shall-notpass- away/ February 15, 2014, 7:00 p.m.

Geology demonstrates the Young Earth: Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons & Mt.St.Helens

How long ago were the Grand Tetons in Wyoming formed??

If you go to Grand Teton National Park, the rangers will tell you that those mountains rose to their present position over a period of 20 million years. Over this 20 million years there is supposed to be about 20,000 feet of mountains eroded (1,000 feet per million years). When you hike in the Teton’s passes, you see many broken rocks but little sand or fine material that would indicate extended periods of erosion. The plain at the foot of these peaks contain many beautiful lakes that show a lot of exposed rock and shallow soil layers. There is no sign of the vast amount of material that should be there after 20 million years of erosion. These mountains appear to be young, not old.

How was the Grand Canyon formed, the “missing rivers”??

When I visited the North Rim of Grand Canyon, I heard the Park Rangers tell a tall tale about how the canyon was formed. The problem that they face is; the rim of the canyon is over 1000 feet above the level of the Colorado River upstream in southern Utah. The river would have to run UPHILL to cut the canyon. To overcome this, they fabricated a series of rivers that no longer exist and disappeared without a trace. The ranger admitted that this explanation is hard to justify but is the best evolutionary geologists can do. The Creationist explanation is that a massive amount of water was trapped during Noah’s flood and was released in southern Utah. That flow cut the Grand Canyon in a very short amount of time, days or weeks. At the eruption of MT. St. Helens in 1980 we saw this same effect where a canyon 1/40th the size of Grand Canyon was eroded in less than 48 hours. The creation model is far more feasible than the missing rivers scenario.

How did the eruption of Mt. St. Helens show the viability of Creation?

The two results of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens that showed rapid process could look as if they took long periods of time were:

1) Deposition of hundreds of feet of strata in days that had very fine layers in them that most evolutionists would count as one year each for each layer, and

2) Rapid erosion of canyons that have an appearance of age but formed in days.

Next time you go to a national park look around and ask the rangers questions based on the young earth model. For example: “Was the Grand Canyon caused by a lot of water and a little time instead of a lot of time and a little water?” There are credible Creationist explanations for the geological features on the Earth that in many cases make more sense than the Evolutionary ones.

Different people, in good faith, can look at the same fact and interpret it differently. But that’s where an interesting conversation begins. Eric Schlosser

A Christian parent’s response to US Public Education’s Humanist foundations.

In the early part of the 20th century, the foundation of teaching was “Judeo/Christian Values.” These values undergirding most subjects, particularly history, social studies and science, all were based on Biblical principles. The system NOT was specifically Christian, but teaching was based on Biblical presuppositions and worldview. For example, when morality was addressed in any subject area the Ten Commandments was the foundation cited and was often posted in classrooms. Education began to change in the 1920s with the adoption of John Dewey’s Humanist principles. By the 1950s Humanist principles dominated. Prayer was banned from public schools in 1964. By 1970 the Humanist philosophy was firmly entrenched, and Christian beliefs were being driven out. By the 1980s all residue of Biblical teaching was not only removed from the schools but was banned under the banner of “separation of church and state.” Between the period preceding World War 2 (1940) and the early 1980s, education’s foundations changed from values based on absolute standards from the Bible to a relativistic morality system based on the Humanism and the Humanist Manifesto. These two worldviews are always at opposite positions on every aspect of our lives and the world. The chart enclosed with this blog is a summary of the contrast between them.

Humanism is a system of doctrine that appears religious; however, humanists deny this and call their system secular humanism to remove the stigma of it being a religious system. Calling Humanism non-religious is a smoke screen because the “Humanist Manifesto” contains multiple religious statements. In several cases before the US Supreme Court Humanism has been defined as a religion. Here’s a summary.

Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.

They have several creedal statements, the latest of which is “Humanist Manifesto 3,” (2003), however “Humanist Manifesto 2” (1973) is much more comprehensive.

Christians who send their children to public schools need to recognize that Humanist presuppositions are the foundation of all subjects their children are taught. In my blog of 3/10/2017, we saw this even in language and math! Christian parents putting their kids in US public schools must carefully monitor their children’s knowledge and values. The church loses many students from Christian homes because of this Humanist foundation in education. Parents have to work hard to counter Humanist teaching. When children, who are brought up in Christian homes, go to college or just out on their own, they often “lose” their faith. I’ve counseled many parents whose child has returned from the first year of college to declare, “I don’t believe all that stuff about Jesus anymore!”  Many college professors work hard to destroy Christian students’ faith so they MUST be prepared BEFORE they graduate high school. Ken Ham has written several books, which I recommend, about losing these students.  Already Gone, Already Compromised and Ready to Return all by Ken Ham https://answersingenesis.org/store/product/ready-reformation-set/?sku=40-1-464

Relativistic education without absolutes is fatal to learning.

“Humanist Manifesto II,” promoted by John Dewey, is the foundation for US public education. Children in public schools are taught every subject based on Humanist presuppositions. Here are two examples where language/reading and mathematics remove absolutes and put relativism in its place.:

1) Using phonics to teach language starts with the absolutes—letters and sounds—and progresses to the relative—words and sentence formation. The look/say method begins with the relative and does not build a foundation of letters, so reading skills never fully develop. Look/say readers are frequently poorer readers than those taught by phonics. The absolute has to come before the relative because that’s how God designed it. As a child develops speech, he or she starts with sounds. Listening to a baby test his or her vocals is always interesting. We don’t expect them to begin with words. Word and sentence formation come after the sound development of the letters.

2) In mathematics, particularly Common Core, problem-solving methods are taught with little or no time spent on the mechanics of numbers. The absolutes in math are the numbers and their relationships: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Common Core starts with the relative and never teaches the absolutes of the basics of number structure. If you were born before the middle of the twentieth century, you probably remember memorizing the multiplication tables which, along with addition and subtraction, are the absolutes that build the math system all the way to calculus. Without the foundation of numbers and how they function, the mind won’t ever “get it.” Math becomes a mystery instead of a problem-solving tool. As a parent, look at the Common Core math-teaching materials: number lines, unnecessarily complicated calculations, etc. I could go on with more issues in science, history, and other subjects, but these two examples are enough to illustrate the point that learning and knowledge are always built on a foundation of absolutes.

There are many Christian teachers in public schools that base their teaching on Christian principles, but the “official” line is Humanism. In the 1970s I taught summer sessions on Biblical Creation at the NC Governor’s School, which is a summer program for top rising High School seniors, whose purpose is to “provoke critical thinking in students.” In year 4, I took a poll asking students: “Who believes in some form of Creation?” and about half raised their hands. This opportunity ended abruptly when several humanist teachers in the room saw half the hands go up for Creation. My contact person, a Christian, later told me the ones that ran the program were very upset because I had so many convincing arguments for Creation and against Evolution. It was evident to me that in public schools you could only teach according to humanist presuppositions, so much for the First Amendment in education. Presenting only one side of any axiom, like Evolution destroys critical thinking in students and makes “political correctness” the result. They become advocates for Evolution, without any reason or foundation for their beliefs.
