Can a Christian believe in Theistic Evolution? NO! Why not?

Theistic Evolution is the same process as Atheistic Evolution, except divine intervention is added at critical points in the process. Although some proponents claim miracles happen frequently, there are four times divine miracles are essential if Evolution is to be successful:

Miracle 1: Appearance of matter from nothing (Starting with the Big Bang)

Miracle 2: Biogenesis (Dead Chemicals become Living Organisms)

Miracle 3: Information arising from chaos (Reverse Entropy?)

Miracle 4: Mutations creating new genetic information (DNA increasing to create new traits)

Some theistic evolutionists call for divine intervention at each stage of macroevolution to make the jump to the next kind of creature. Many Christians have adopted TE to compromise the Bible with evolutionary science saying, “Since God can do anything, he used evolution to create.” Advocating God do each impossible step

If evolution happened millions of years before Adam and Eve appeared in the Garden of Eden, then there was physical death for all that time. According to the Bible The Bible teaches that:

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:15–17)

The sentence of death was the punishment if Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Why did God do that? The love between individuals is an act of the will. You love another because you choose to. If Adam was to trust God in all things, he had to love him by not doing the one thing God forbade. Death was not present before Adam ate the forbidden fruit. Because Adam did not obey God, he brought the sentence of death to all humanity.

Lesson: a Christian for three theological, not scientific, reasons. These reasons are showstoppers. You can’t be a biblical Christian and believe in Theistic Evolution because:

1) Death is an active force in moving evolution forward. The Bible is clear here, death is not what God intended, it Lake of Fire at the end of time. It can’t be a positive force!

2) In TE death occurs for millions of years before sin enters in Genesis 3. Old earth models have death present in Genesis 1 and 2. So God’s perfect creation includes death? Not!

3) If Theistic Evolution is true, God would have pronounced death “very good” at the end of day six because it’s present in each day in Genesis 1-2.

Since scientific evidence is open to interpretation, Christians can’t believe Theistic Evolution not because of science but because of Theology!
